I'm a clinical psychologist, author and content creator specialising in adult mental health and human psychology. My career has been about helping people through their most difficult periods — and now, about making that knowledge available to anyone, anywhere, for free.

My mission

Helping as many people as possible to thrive

Not everyone can access therapy. That's why I share free, evidence-based mental health education online — so the insights of the therapy room can reach the people who need them most.

The story so far

From the therapy room to 10 million people

After nearly a decade running a private practice, Julie started making short videos in 2019 about anxiety, depression and confidence. They went viral — and grew into one of the world's largest online mental health communities.

Her debut book, "Why Has Nobody Told Me This Before?", became the bestselling non-fiction title of 2022; her latest, "Open When…", debuted at #1 on the Sunday Times list and became a New York Times bestseller.
